I Have A New Toy LOL!

I have received a new toy in the post today it is actually part of my Mother's Day pressie from my sons and it is...Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 lol!

I have really wanted this so that I can edit my photos better in general and for my blog and as you can see they bought me a book called 'Teach Yourself Visually'...are they trying to tell me something hehe!  I have had a little play with this photo just editing it by cropping and adding my blog addy...it was relatively easy (well that's what I am going to tell my sons lol), they do tend to tease me a lot!  I shall have to have a good read of the book, I'm certainly not expecting to become the next 'David Bailey' (does anyone remember him or am I showing my age too lol) but hopefully it will be fun...at the moment it's like the 'blind leading the blind' and I will be able to create some fun projects!

I've almost finished my challenge card for the CMC challenge which is primary colours (blue, red, yellow and green) so I am hoping to be able to have a play at editing the background for it...we will see!  So watch this space, I'll be back later to post my challenge card!

Happy crafting!

My Own Little Craftroom !!

Hi everyone!

I am so excited to tell you that I am at last going to be getting my own craft room!  I've given up on either of my boys leaving home just yet lol and I am fed up with having to keep getting all my craft stuff out from under the stairs every time I want to craft, so after chatting with my DH we are going to build a new shed making it wider and deeper so I can have half of it to use as a craft room but instead of it being the regular type of shed we are going to build/buy a log cabin!  Hopefully by the summer I shall be the proud owner of my very own craft space!

I'm already making lots of plans of how I want it set out, what colour I want the room, looking at desks and storage lol!  Knowing me I shall have bought everything to go in it before its even built lol!

If anyone has any ideas or can recommend anything like storage or anything please feel free to leave a comment.

I shall be back later in the week to post some cards that I am making for different sketches...actually I really need to get my lil old bum in gear and get them done lol!

Also I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the girls at CMC that have become followers of my blog...it was such a great idea by Lisa for people to add each other!  Well done LISA!

Anyway happy crafting people!

Princess Tilda

Today I have for you a beautiful Magnolia stamp which is my favourite, Princess Tilda.  She is so pretty!  I have never really liked the Magnolia stamps as they do not have any noses or mouths lol but I saw so many cards where people are using them that I decided to have a look at some and after browsing around Princess Tilda was the one that caught my eye.  She is so easy to colour and I love her beautiful long wavy hair and her sparkly tiara.  It brings back memories of when I was little when every little girl wants to be a princess lol!

This is also my first card that I have done some sewing on...definitely gonna be addictive, it was so easy peasy!  I think I am going to end up with lots of cottons in lots of colours!

I used a lovely papermania raspberry coloured card stock with papermania papers which I have stitched around the edges. I used copics to colour and a nestabilities die to mat and layer her, with stardust stickles on her dress and shoes and to make her tiara sparkle! Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copic coloured used : Face E00, E000
                                  Hair E25, E31, E50
                                  Dress/Shoes R81, R83, R85
                                  Gloves/Socks RV000

Ok that's it from me today.  Happy Crafting!

Having Fun With Sewing!

Hi everyone hope you are having a wonderful day!  The weather is wonderful here today, lovely sunshine and blue skies! It just makes you feel so 'alive' when its sunny and warm! I LOVE SPRING and cannot wait for SUMMER lol!

Today I have been having some fun with my sewing machine.  I have been wanting lately to try some sewing techniques on my cards so I thought I would give it a go and I cannot believe how easy it was!  On the yellow card with the patterned paper I practiced lots of different stitches changing the length and pattern of them to see what I liked (it looks a right mess lol!)  On the pink card are the sizes I ended up choosing for the straight and zigzag stitches. I haven't tried going round corners yet with the zigzag stitch so that should be fun lol! (Excuse the terrible pictures I have yet to learn how to edit them properly!)

I am doing a sketch card at the moment which I am going to do some stitching on, hopefully I will get this finished later today so I can upload it here for you to see. Hope I dont mess it up or I will have to start again lol!

Ok I'm off to finish my card now so I shall see you all later!

Marci Ballerina

This is Marci Ballerina, she is a beautiful digi stamp that I got from La La Land Crafts, she looks so sweet and innocent!

I made this card for the CMC Class Birthday Week celebrations which is the course that I am taking to learn how to colour with copics.  We had to enter a card using the colours violet and yellow.  I am quite pleased with how the card turned out, although this is the first image I have coloured since starting the course.  Up until now I have only been practicing colouring faces and hadn't even attempted hair let alone clothes until today lol!  I must admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed myself tho and am looking forward to doing a sketch card that is my next challenge for the Birthday Week! (I haven't done a sketch card before either lol!)

The card details are:  Papermania papers, Marianne Die, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Punch, Papermania Crystal Gems and stickles

Copics used: Face E11, E00, R20  Hair E25, E31, E50  Tutu & Ballet Slippers V12, V15, V17

Ok that's it from me today I shall hopefully upload my next card tomorrow or Wednesday.

Have fun crafting!

Grand Calibur and Copics Course

Hi everyone I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend!

I thought I would share with you about the Grand Calibur that I have treated myself to.  I really wanted an A4 size cutting machine as I want to make some shaped cards and from what cards I have seen 'blog hopping' I decided to invest in this one.  It came with one Grand Label set and one small Label 1 set.  I havent had a chance to play with it as yet as I have been really busy doing my copics course, but I do need to make some cards this week so I am going to give it a try and I will upload them later this upcoming week.

The online copic course that I am taking reached its 1st birthday this past week and we have been celebrating with lots of fun puzzles and colouring/sketch challenges.  I am making two cards at the moment which are part of the Birthday Week fun, one is a card made with violet and yellow colours which I have enjoyed making, I have just got the image to colour then I can upload it for entry into the Birthday Week competition and I will also put it onto my blog for you to see.  Next will be the sketch card, i've not done one of these before so I am looking forward to a challenge lol! I am also looking forward to being part of CMC's 2nd year and towards all that Suzanne has instore for us!

Anyhoo, I am off to bed and I hope you all have a great week.  Happy crafting!

Copic Class

Hi there everyone!

I have been very busy this week as I have started an online copic colouring course which is really fantastic!  Although its early days I have already learnt so much about copics and what colours blend and so forth.  I am looking forward to colouring images for my cards and knowing that they will eventually get better (I hope lol)!

I have done a little bit of other crafting making some notepads with my bind it all.  My husband bought it for me for my birthday in December and its the first time I have used it...what an amazing machine!  When I have finished them I will take some photo's and put them on here.  I have bought myself a photo 'tent' so I am hoping my photo's will come out a bit better than the one's I have already taken.  We will have to see lol!

Anyway that's all for now, I am off to do some colouring :-)
